Welcome to the world Rosalind!! I have to tell you, that a very clever man named William Shakespeare wrote a play called As You Like It about a smart, funny, perceptive and utterly delightful girl with your name. She is one of his most remarkable heroines and I’ll bet it’s no accident that your very clever parents gave you such an auspicious name. Also, it’s a really, really pretty name. I send you and your parents and your big sister Lucy all my love and best wishes.
xoxo

Happy St. Patty’s day, Rosie. I concur with my sister (above) that we are happy to have another Hazel in the family. You appear to have hypnotized your sister - this will be a worthwhile skill.

Great to have a new addition to the clan. Look forward to meeting Rosie and her big sister Lucy some day. Maybe we can gather at our casa in Merida in the Yucatan when a warmish sort of day might be nicer than a midwest winter day. Rosie Hazel; what a nice name.

Dear Rosie,
You rushed into the world in the midst of full days for your parents. I saw your mom looking radiant and dressed up to celebrate just a day or so before you came. And your dad did a bang up job launching a big event and then rushed off to be superdad for your arrival. We are all glad you are here. Keep claiming your own territory in the delightful family you have entered!
March 20th, 2008 at 11:38 am
Dear Rosie,
May the Lord bless you and keep you and make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; may he shine his favor on you and give you his peace, all the days of your life!

Rosie, I was so delighted to receive an e-mail from my dear friend, your grandmother Betty, on 14 March to let me know that you had arrived! And then to be able to enjoy a beautiful video of you sleeping peacefully in your adorable sister Lucy’s arms on your wonderful mother’s lap was such a treat! What an amazing hi tech world you have entered - but nothing will replace being able to give you a hug! Meanwhile heartfelt congratulations to your family all and a warm welcome and loving good wishes to you, Nancy and Jack
